Bastian Schweinsteiger’s Chicago Fire debut by the numbers

Bastian Schweinsteiger netted a goal on his debut for Chicago Fire in their 2-2 draw with Montreal Impact.

The former Bayern midfielder started as part of a three-man midfield along with Juninho and Dax McCarty and scored just 17 minutes into his first appearance, powering home a header.

Chicago Fire havd made a mixed start to the campaign, winning one, drawing one and losing one of their games so far before Schweinsteiger’s debut, and will hope that the arrival of Schweinsteiger will provide them with a significant boost.
