Bayern captain Philipp Lahm criticised Bayern’s perfomance after suffering a shock 3-2 loss to Russian outfit FC Rostov in the UEFA Champions League, but insists the club is not in crisis.
Asked about the team’s current performance which follows a defeat to rivals Borussia Dortmund on the weekend. Speaking to Sky Deutschland, Lahm said: “We are Bayern Munich, we must win here – regardless of the cold or the pitch.
“We’re too careless at the moment, especially with our passing game. We are not alert enough that the opponent can score goals too.
“It’s not a crisis but we need to sort it out as soon as possible. We’re making too many mistakes and we’re being punished.”
Bayern are now confirmed as the second placed side in group D, after Atletico Madrid’s fifth straight victory takes them to 15 points, while Bayern languish six points behind the Spanish outfit.
Bayern sit second in the Bundesliga, too. Currently three points adrift of newly-promoted Red Bull Leipzig.
A home fixture against Bayer Leverkusen is next up, before a tricky test away to Mainz.
