Philipp Lahm boasts 102 appearances in Europe’s premier club competition and would equal Oliver Kahn’s CL club record if he plays on Tuesday.
The former Bayern captain made 103 appearances. However, Oliver Kahn’s successor as skipper has clocked up two bookings and runs the risk of a one-match ban in the Round of 16, as does Jérôme Boateng.
Frenchman in charge
Clément Turpin will be the man with the whistle for Bayern’s final group match. It is the first time the 34-year-old match official from France takes charge of a match involving either side. Turpin will oversee his tenth meeting in Europe’s elite club competition and his 50th match in an official UEFA competition.
