Italian broadcast outlet SportItalia is reporting that Ante Rebić’s agent, Fali Ramadani, has interrupted his vacation to fly to Munich to conduct negotiations for a transfer.
Per Calcio Mercato, the time is near for Bayern to make a move for Rebić in hopes of fending off other heavyweights competing for the Croatian winger. The move would be financially beneficial to both Eintracht Frankfurt and Italian club Fiorentina, who both stand to profit from a sale.
Decisive hours for the passage of Ante Rebić to Bayern Munich. As reported by SportItalia, the Croatian agent, Fali Ramadani, left for the Bavarian city and should soon formalize the agreement with Eintracht. Fiorentina will receive 50% of the capital gain made by the Frankfurt-based company.
Insidefutbol.com is reporting that multiple Premier League teams are interested in Rebić which has likely spiked Bayern’s effort to negotiate.
Arsenal and Tottenham are keen on taking him to England, but Manchester United are believed to be the club who have shown serious interest in signing the Croatian World Cupstar. Jose Mourinho’s side are believed to be in pole position to sign Rebić, but it has been claimed Bayern Munich are now trying to push their way ahead in the race to sign the winger. Eintracht Frankfurt are claimed to be asking for a fee of around €40m to €50m for the player. It remains to be seen how Manchester United react to Bayern Munich’s aggressive move in the market for Rebić.
As indicated in the Daily Schmankerl this morning, if Bayern is seriously pursuing Rebić, it could possibly explain the recent – and surprising – rumors regarding a potential transfer of Kingsley Coman to Arsenal.
Perhaps there is no substance to the Coman reports, but this news on Rebić certainly makes those whispers worth listening to as Bayern’s roster could be getting even more crowded.
