Borussia Dortmund name price for Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic’s dad has given Liverpool a massive transfer boost by admitting he expects the Borussia Dortmund starlet to make a move to the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp has been long term admirers of the USA international – and he has previously lodged two bids to lure him to Merseyside.

Klopp, who crossed paths with Pulisic in Dortmund, opened up the possibility of moving back in for him earlier this week – saying “if he wants to play in England he has the chance to do so.”

Pulisic then bagged a brace during the Reds’ pre-season friendly in Charlotte on Sunday night to further his reputation.

Bundesliga side Dortmund had stuck a £62million price tag on Pulisic, with the Reds unlikely to make any further transfers this summer having already splashed out on Alisson, Xherdan Shaqiri, Fabinho and Naby Keita.

And Mark Pulisic has definitely not ruled out a Liverpool move for his son, but doesn’t expect it to happen in the near future.

Speaking to SkySports Mark, said: “There’s always change. You can think one thing, then you do it, and at the end of the day it wasn’t the right thing.

“Football is crazy. You have to go with the flow and make sure the player feels comfortable, whatever the decision is. There’s no magic formula. Is it right to stay at Dortmund? Who knows. Is it right to move to another club? He might think it is, or someone else might think it is, but it might not be in the player’s mind.

“The only thing we can do is continue to talk with him and make sure he’s always in the loop of what’s going on, present all the facts and the content of what can happen, or will happen. It’s up to the player to make that final call.”

Pulisic and his father visited Anfield back in 2006 and witnessed Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal, as reported in the Liverpool Echo.

His family had moved to England so his father could get his UEFA A licence – and they spent time travelling to watch football matches.

“The Premier League is a league where he’s always aspired to be in and play in,” Pulisic’s dad said.

“As a player nowadays, there are so few players staying at one club throughout a career, the chances of him moving to different clubs and leagues is a high probability.”
