The international break is over and Bayern stars can finally get back to the real business of the Bundesliga as the Bavarians face Dortmund in Der Klassiker this Saturday.
However, coming on the eve of a big Champions League quarter final clash against Sevilla, the question of how Jupp Heynckes will line up on Saturday.
Jerome Boateng was the only Bayern star to have picked up an injury on international duty.
While it wasn’t serious, we can be almost certain that Boateng won’t play against Dortmund, to save him for the Sevilla game. Manuel Neuer continues on his path to recovery, however he won’t be available until the end of April at the earliest. Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman remains sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Th good news is that midfield maestro Thiago Alcantara played both international games for Spain, so he should be fit to start. Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Javi Martinez are all well rested and ready to go after a two-week break.
Thomas Muller was sent back early from international duty, so he should also be rested an ready to start.
