JAMES RODRIGUEZ has expressed his desire to sign a permanent contract with Bayern after his two-year loan from Real Madrid expires.
The Colombian moved to Munich last season after being deemed surplus to requirements by former Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane.
The attacking midfielder is happy plying his trade in the Bundesliga, featuring 23 times during Bayern’s successful title charge last campaign.
“I think my future is here,” said the 27-year-old.
“There are a lot of rumours, they talk about a lot of clubs, but right now I’m thinking about Bayern.
That’s my present, and I’m happy here.”
When pressed on whether he wants a permanent move to the Allianz Arena, Rodriguez replied: “Yeah, why not? Bayern are a big club, a top club also.
“I’m good here – why not stay here for years? If they want me to be here, I’ll be thankful with them because it’s a club that put its confidence in me, so I feel all their love.
“Why not stay here for years? I think it’s a good option.”
