PSG shock favorites to sign Barcelona super star

PSG are reportedly favorite ti sign Luis Suarez.

He was a big-hitter in the Premier League, and even more so when he first joined Barcelona. However, Luis Suarez has suffered a huge dip in form, although he has regained some confidence in recent games.

Ladbrokes have revealed their odds on where the former Liverpool man will go next, with some surprise names in the fray. Here is the full list, courtesy of Daily Star:

  • Arsenal – 33/1
  • Tottenham Hotspur – 25/1
  • Real Madrid – 16/1
  • Bayern Munich – 10/1
  • Chelsea – 8/1
  • Manchester City – 5/1
  • Liverpool – 5/1
  • PSG – 5/2 (Favourites)

Barcelona were reported to be showing interest in Gabriel Jesus and Harry Kane, who are believed to be two potential replacements for when the Uruguayan leaves Camp Nou.

Although speculation seems to have cooled down, it’s still interesting to see the Parisian side are at the top of the food chain, despite them being bombarded with attacking players already. The arrival of Luis Suarez would mean that Unai Emery would have to choose between him, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani each week, which is a nice problem to have.

It would be a shock to the world if PSG could bring yet another Barcelona star to Paris, after securing the signature of Neymar in the Summer. Two thirds of the notorious ‘MSN’ would then be in Ligue 1, what would that mean for Lionel Messi?

Luis Suarez has scored 9 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona, with 3 of them coming in his last 2 La Liga appearances. Judging by the standards he set himself, this is nowhere good enough, but it is expected given his age.

Could he be on the verge of doing what the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, David Beckham and Claude Makelele have done, by moving to France late on in his career? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure, PSG will have one of the most fierce attacks in Europe should they acquire Luis Suarez, if that isn’t the case already.
