Thomas Tuchel turned down Bayern’s offer to succeed Jupp Heynckes next season.
Instead, he chose to succeed Unai Emery at Paris Saint-Germain.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss was regarded as the main candidate to take over at Bayern.
There were two reasons why Tuchel rejected Bayern
Firstly, Tuchel did not like the fact that Bayern hired Jupp Heynckes after sacking Carlo Ancelotti and did not contact him immediately.
Secondly, the 44-year-old was also concerned by the Bavarian club’s constant rethinking in terms of its long-term strategy to remain successful in the coming years, as well as the transfer strategy deployed by sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.
